Saratoga National on Road to Williamsport

Here is the list of teams competing in the 11 & 12-year-old New York State Little League Championship tournament at Indian Meadows Park in Glenville this weekend.

The top six teams from throughout New York will gather in a two-game pool play series before advancing to Monday's semifinals and Tuesday's championship game witht he winner advancing to the East Regional in Bristol, Conn.

Pool A final pool play standings
Section 5: South Shore (2-0)
Section 6: Massapequa Coast (1-1)
Section 1: Auburn (0-2)

Pool B
Section 4: North Salem (2-0)
Section 3: Saratoga National (1-1)
Section 2: Johnson City (0-2)

Friday, July 31 games
Massapequa Coast 13, Auburn 2 (5 inns)
Saratoga National 8, Johnson City 0

Saturday, Aug. 1 games
South Shore 15, Auburn 9
North Salem 5, Saratoga National 3

Sunday, Aug. 2 games
South Shore 9, Massapequa 2
North Salem 13, Johnson City 0 (5 innings)
  • Credit to the Burnt Hills Baseball staff for getting these two games in between rain and during the rain later in the day Sunday.

    Monday, Aug. 3 games

    5:30 p.m. Pool A No. 1 South Shore vs. Pool B No. 2 Saratoga National
    8 p.m. Pool B No. 1 seed North Salem vs. Pool A No. 2 seed Massapequa Coast

    Tuesday, Aug. 4
    2 p.m. Optional consolation game
    4 p.m. Optional consolation game
    6:30 p.m. Championship game
    Winner advances to East Regional in Bristol, Conn.
