Rain ruins Cal Ripken 9s night

Well the weatherman and Mother Nature are not baseball fans as the 9 year old Cal Ripken Eastern New York State semifinals were postponed by rain at Gavin Park.

The rain also washed out the Saratoga Phillies game against Albany.

It didn't prevent the Clifton Park Green from beating Queensbury, 6-2 at Gavin Park in the rain on the Yankee Stadium field in the first 11-year-old Cal Ripken ENY semifinal.

Wilton is set to face Spring at 6 pm as the crews are working to keep the infield fit for play with plans to get the game in.
