NYCBL: Phillies rained out at Mohawk Valley Sat. night

The weather forecast wasn't promising, but the Saratoga Phillies still made the trip to Little Falls to face the Mohawk Valley Diamond Dogs, but the field conditions and a steady rain forced the postponement of tonight's game.

The next open date for both squads is Monday, June 22. Monday's are usually reserved for rainout make-up contests to help avoid doubleheaders. The next mutually open date for both is July 4, something both teams would probably hope to avoid.

The next scheduled meeting at Little Falls is scheduled for Wednesday, July 8 and then again on Saturday, July 11 that could become a twi-night doubleheader if agreed upon by the two clubs.

We'll keep you posted.
