Nisky hacks way ahead, 7-2

Shenendehowa senior pitcher never imagined that she would end her career in centerfield.

After giving up a leadoff single and two subsequent walks, all courtesy of the Niskayuna squad hacking away at pitches that would have made Paul Bunyan proud, Molly O'Donnell drilled Ferro's final high school career pitch over the right field fence.

The grand slam put Niskayuna ahead, 7-2, sent Ferro to centerfield and all came courtesy of a bad bounce.

O'Donnell was only kept alive by fighting off Ferro's pitches foul and having a pop up to the right of the plate fall behind the Shen catcher during the at-bat.

The next pitch, the grand slam.
