Hannah's Hope golf tournament Sept. 9

The Hannah's Hope Golf Tournament will be held Sept. 9 at the Edison Club to benefit 4-year-old Rexford child, Hannah Sames.

The youngster was recently diagnosed with Giant Axonal Neuropathy, a rare genetic disorder that causes progressive, irreversible damage to nerve cells and is known to be fatal.

Registration and lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Cocktails and a silent auction will be held at 6 p.m. with dinner and a live auction set at 7 p.m.

The round of golf includes a 1 million dollar hole-in-one contest and a closest to the pin contest.

The event is a four-person scramble with each player using at least two tee shots and a maximum of two putts on each green to speed up play.

Cost is $150 per person/$600 per team and guests are invited to the dinner event, $5. Sponsorship opportunities are still available also.
