Admission prices increase at Albany-Saratoga

After 12 years of holding the line on front gate admission, the management at Albany-Saratoga Speedway regretfully announces that a new policy will be instituted on Aug 8.

Beginning with the Aug. 8 race card, adult admission at Albany-Saratoga Speedway will increase to $12. Children under the stick will be $3.

In conjunction with the price increase, Albany-Saratoga Speedway will also be instituting a discount admission price for seniors. Beginning on Aug. 8, seniors ages 65 and over will be admitted for $10.

We hate to make these increases, because we know times are tough for everyone,” Albany-Saratoga promoter Bruce Richards said. “We held the line for as long as we could, but price increases are also affecting us, from gasoline to diesel fuel to food costs. Heck, even Little Debbie’s Snack Cakes have gone up.”

Richards also announced that adult admission for the CVRA.com 100, to be held on Friday, Aug. 1, will be $18. But fans at Albany-Saratoga Speedway can pick up discount coupons, good for $3 off, at the race track on Friday, July 25. In addition, there will be an “early-bird special” on Friday, Aug. 1. Fans arriving at the speedway between 4 and 5 p.m. will be admitted for $15.
