Phillies opener: Lightning...Yikes!

It's 6:13 p.m. and the sky, although bright, has opened up and it is pouring with continuous rolling thunder along with several bolts of lightning in the distance.
The Saratoga Phillies and Amsterdam Phillies were both called off the field before the rain started when a big bolt of lightning was spotted over the tree line.
There is a severe thunderstorm warning in effect for the area so both teams have agreed to wait it out.
With a fourth day of plus-90 degree heat, East Side Rec's baseball field could use a little rain, but maybe not this much...
I'll update as the evening progresses...
