Kids Try-Too Triathlon at SSYMCA May 4

The third Annual Kids Tri Too Triathlon will be held 10 a.m. May 4 at the Southern Saratoga YMCA.

The triathlon consists of three legs — a swim, a bike and a run. There are two age groups 8-and under and 9-13 year olds. All kids are encouraged to come try this fun event. The 8-and under age group will swim 25 yards in the pool, bike 1/2 mile and run 1/4 mile while the 9-13 year olds will swim 50 yards in the pool, bike 1 mile and run 1/2 mile.

Flotation devices are allowed for the swim (fins are not) and training wheels can be used for the bike leg. The bike and run legs will be held on the Arongen campus. Each finisher gets a medal.

Mandatory meetings will be held for the kids and parents on Saturday when race t-shirts and numbers are picked up. Parents will learn everything they need to know about the course and race. This is a great athletic experience for kids and adults.
Capital District YMCA members pay $20 per athlete, non-members are $30.

Entry forms are available at the Southern Saratoga YMCA. You can email for more information.
