G10 - Notes - CP Dynamo 3, Tonawanda 1

It was win and you're in and the CP Dynamo's advanced courtesy of a rebound putback from Brian Frederick from a backghand by Conrad Bernard at 2:02 of the third period.

Jake Hendrickson had the honor of scoring his second empty net goal of the tournament with nine seconds remaining.

Things were heated in the third with five roughing penalties and a small skirmish underneath the stands afterwards. No one was hurt or penalized, just some pushing and shoving.

Clifton Park will be the No. 2 seed out of Division I with a competitor to be determined in the next two games.

CP Dynamo Shane Robichaud gets the win, turning back 29 of 30 shots. Tonawanda's P.J. Bluff had 25 saves.

CP Dynamo 2, Tonawanda 1
Less than a minute after a small skirmish broke out near the Clifton Park net and Michael Kenny was sent to the sin bin for his actions, the Dynamo went ahead, 2-1 on a short-handed put back by forward Brian Frederick.

Forward Conrad Bernard skated in on Tonawanda goalie P.J. Bluff and shot as Frederick followed up putting back the pad save for the go-ahead and potential semifinal, advancing goal at 1:02 of the third.

G10 - CP Dynamos 1, Tonawanda 1 through 2
There is nothing like desperate, hard playing ice hockey.

Both teams continue to fly up and down the ice with each defense turning back the aggressor.

It may come down to has the better game plan or who gives the more passionate speech but the future of these two teams rides on the third period.

Still tied at two apiece.

G10 - CP Dyanamo 1, Tonawanda 1 end 1st
Clifton Park needs a win to have a chance to play on Sunday and Tonawanda needs to win by four goals to advance.

Still no answers after a 1-1 in the first.

CP Dynamo forward Michael Kenny put back a rebound for the early go-ahead goal at 12:37.

Lightning forward John Maloney stole the puck at his opposite blue line and skated in on Clifton Park goalie Shane Robichaud at 14:47 knotting the contest at one apiece.
