Shen and Burnt Hills boys rule the pool

Plainsmen and Spartans earn Section II titles

It wasn't that much of a surprise, Shenendehowa and Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake capturing the boys swimming titles at two different locations.

What was surprising was how dominant the two squads were.

Burnt Hills won with a score of 472.50 points compared to second-place Gloversville with 295, Glens Falls at 262.50 and Albany Academy in fourth with 234.50 at the Amsterdam Middle School pool.

Shenendehowa was equally dominant in the large school meet at Niskayuna High School pool with 479 points on the day followed by Bethlehem Central with 326, Shaker with 263.50 and Schenectady with 225. Saratoga finished fifth with 203 points.

Burnt Hills placed three swimmers on the Section II team headed to the New York State Meet while Shenendehowa has eight individuals, two relays, both of them with All-American consideration times.

I'll post their success stories shortly.
