Hunter Meys sets national pin record

Shenendehowa senior Hunter Meys added another milestone in his wrestling career, another at the expense of a competitor.

Meys pinned Cathedral Central's Ian Morgan in 50 seconds for his 190th career win by pinfall, setting a new national record.

The Boston University-bound grappler was delayed in his record setting mark after Ian was able to reach the outer circle and force a restart after a quick takedown from the neutral position.

With Ian down, Meys quickly went to work on the restart, pulling him to the mat and securing his opponent's head and then it was just a matter of time before the shoulders followed.

Look for more details about the win and his full day of wrestling in the Shenendehowa Invitational later today.

Photos and pictures to follow, but still not sure if I got the record setting pin on video, but have it on stll camera.
