Weather wrecks Friday night playoffs


Anticipated inclement weather has postponed four of the six post-season football contests scheduled for Friday night:
  • Saratoga at Niskayuna moved to 3 p.m. Saturday
  • Colonie at Shenendehowa moved to 7 p.m. Saturday
  • Gloversville at Burnt Hills moved to 2 p.m. Saturday
  • Corinth at Chatham moved to 7 p.m. Saturday
As of 2:45 p.m. two games are still slated for play:
  • Coxsackie at Schuylerville on for 7 p.m. tonight
  • Mechanicville at Greenwich will start at 6:30 p.m. tonight, a half hour earlier than scheduled.
Other sports have also been impacted as of 3 p.m. Friday:
  • Saratoga boys soccer at Colonie moved to 7 p.m. Saturday
  • Saratoga Central Catholic boys soccer at Mayfield moved to a 4:30 p.m. from 7 p.m.
  • Mechanicville girls soccer at Holy Names moved to 4 p.m. Monday
  • Burnt Hills field hockey vs. Guilderland was just moved to 4 p.m. Monday
  • Saratoga field hockey vs. Niskayuna moved inside into the Queensbury Dome with a 3:45 p.m. start time.
