Under 23 Boys division

Congratulations Clifton Park Celtics

The Clifton Park Celtics captured the first-ever men's U23 Clifton Park tournament title with a 4-2 victory over league competitor, Clifton Park Ravens. The squad is made up of some of the area's former elite soccer players, of which, many are competing at the college level.

"Not all of us played together," Earl Chase IV a Galway graduate and current Herkimer Community College soccer star said. "We're all skilled and we got a read quick on each other and were on the same page. It made playing together a lot easier."

The summer league was important for Chase who broke his arm during last year's pre-season and received a medical red shirt, eligible for this upcoming season.

"This has been an experience," Chase said. "Without it I would play with whomever I could get together with and be a guest player, trying to get a game."
