Russians invade East Side Rec

Rain couldn't damper the chance for the Spa City to see the Saratoga Phillies take on the Russian Olympic Team at East Side Rec Monday night.
With the American, New York and Russian flags waving in the distance, the national anthems from both countries was performed by Jacklyn Bouchard (USA) and Lake George Opera baratone Richard Mazzaferro as players from two countries in front of the biggest crowd this season for a Phillies home game.
After Saratoga mayor Val Keehn addressed the crowd and had her comments interpreted in Russian for the visitors it was time to play baseball.
