Matt Sheppard committed to running at Albany-Saratoga at the beginning of the season and it paid off.
The Latham driver outdueled A.J. Romano in his Magee Transportation Services No. 44, taking over the lead on lap 24. He held off Romano for the remaining 11 laps for his first career victory at The Great Race Place.
He started in second place and took advantage of a caution-free 35-lap race, taking the win and an extra $500 courtesy of the Salisbury Chevrolet 'Beat Brett Hearn' $500 bonus.

In a closed-door meeting of the division, fingers were pointed regarding the performance ability of the two cars and the track will attempt to confirm the racer's computer compliance to the two winners.

Albany-Saratoga Speedway is back in action this Tuesday night with a special mid-week show featuring "Megasaurus" the cyborg-car eating machine along with a host of other action-packed vehicles from the Wild West Show.
